Prosecutor General's Office names perpetrator of suicide bomb attack in Aktobe regional security department

ASTANA. May 17. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ The suicide bomb explosion, which took place in the building of the national security department of Aktobe region at 9:30 today morning, was set off by Rakhimzhan Makatov, 1986, a suspect in several crimes. Official Spokesperson of the Prosecutor General's Office Zhandos Umiraliyev said it at a briefing today.
According to Zh. Umiraliyev, Rakhimzhan Makatov was suspected in committing several crimes as a member of a criminal group.
Makatov died on the spot as an improvised explosive device detonated. Two more citizens got injuries.
A criminal case was launched upon the accident. Investigation is underway.
