Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan paid an official visit to Switzerland

During the meeting both sides expressed satisfaction with the level of accumulated cooperation, noting that there is further potential for its development. A wide range of issues of mutual interest, including the fight against transnational organized crime.

An important topic of conversation was the Kazakhstan's bid to join the four conventions of the Council of Europe in the field of criminal justice. A.Daulbaev informed the Swiss side of the results achieved in the area of ​​oversight and advocacy, emphasizing that the protection of human rights in criminal proceedings, the obligations related to the accession of Kazakhstan to the main international human rights instruments, are the focus of attention of prosecutors.

Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan emphasized the interest of law enforcement bodies of Kazakhstan in establishing and developing a constructive dialogue with the countries that have experience dealing with transnational crime, as well as the exchange of relevant information in criminal cases.

M.Lauber praised the role of the Prosecutor's Office of Kazakhstan in the implementation of the international legal policy of the country and confirmed the interest in the continuation of mutually beneficial cooperation on issues related to the overall strategic goals of rule of law and regional security coordination in jointly cope with challenges and threats of the modern world.
