Proleskovsky elected Chairman of CIS Council for Humanitarian Cooperation
The joint meeting considered a number of issues. In particular, the participants agreed to recommend the heads of state to approve Gyumri (Armenia), Gabala (Azerbaijan) and Mogilev (Belarus) as the CIS capitals of culture, BelTA reports.
The participants of the meeting also decided to submit the plans for the 2014 themes to the CIS heads of state. A proposal has been voiced to declare 2014 the Year of Tourism.
Information Minister of Belarus Oleg Proleskovsky is leading the Belarusian delegation at the 7th CIS Forum of Creative Intellectuals in Turkmenistan on 15-17 October. The delegation comprises 13 people including heads of national publishing houses, universities, and representatives of the creative intellectuals.
