Production increased in processing industry of Kazakhstan
According to the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, the overall production increased by 2.1% in the first half of this year. Thereat, the production of food products, drinks, light and chemical industries products, engineering sector and refined products increased.
Besides, the labor productivity made 20.3 thousand U.S. dollars per person in the processing industry in January-May 2012 increasing by 6.4% compared to the corresponding period of 2011.
The production of high-tech metallurgical products increased from 20.747 thousand tons to 21.310 thousand tons. The light industry production output increased by 11.8% and made 20.666 mln tenge. In engineering sector, the production increased by 18.4% and made 282 mln tenge.
It is worth noting that the positive trends were achieved in the engineering sector due to the increase in production of computers, electronic and optical products by 20.4%, electric equipment - by 38.8%, vehicles, trailers and semitrailers - 2 times, repair and installation of equipment - by 14.7%.
Besides, the production output in the construction industry increased by 2.3%, in pharmaceutical industry - by 4.8%. the export of pharmaceutical products reached 1.767 thousand dollars, the import - 98.837 thousand dollars. The Kazakh content share made 68% or 321 mln units.
Positive trends are also observed in the chemical industry. The production has increased by 3.1% compared to the corresponding period of 2011. In particular, the production of sulphuric acid increased by 8%, hydrogen fluoride - by 9.6%, phosphorous fertilizers - by 13.5%. The export of products with high added value exceeded 600 mln tenge over January-June 2012.
The Industrial-Innovative Development Program aims at gradual transition from primary productions to production of goods with high added value. The Program allowed to increase the share of the processing industry in the country's economy.
