Priorities of scientific activity must correspond to requirements of economy - President

ASTANA. September 4. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ Priorities of the scientific and technical activity must correspond to the requirement of the economy; Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev has stated today at the session on science and scientific policy.
"All scientific projects (on applied and natural sciences) must be reconsidered and reapproved. Science and scientists must be aimed at the central needs of the State", - N .Nazarbayev said.
He also supported the proposal on implementation of the international expertise for proposed scientific projects.
"The national centers of expertise must be determined as a labor body for all scientific councils in order to ensure unity of our work", - the Head of State said. He also noted that the labor body must provide transparency of our activity. "All this must be mentioned in the Law "On Science", - he added.
