Prime Minister of Luxembourg stands for development of coop with Kazakhstan

LUXEMBOURG. February 13. KAZINFORM /Yerzhan Ospanov/ Kazakh Ambassador Konstantin Zhigalov met with Prime Minister of Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Jean-Claude Juncker Thursday, Kazinform reports.

The sides exchanged opinions on many issues. It was noted that meetings of the Luxembourg Prime Minister with the Kazakh President and the Head of the Kazakh Government in June, 2008 promoted further development of cooperation between the countries.
Dynamic development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union was complimented as well. J.-C. Juncker stressed the key role of Kazakhstan in Central Asia and wished our country successes in the OSCE coming chairmanship in 2010. The Head of the Government invited the Kazakh leadership to pay return visit to Luxembourg.
At the end of the meeting, J.-C. Juncker on behalf of Grand Duke Henri presented K.Zhigalov high state award ? Grand Cross of the Order of Merit ? for contribution to the development of Kazakh-Luxembourgian relations.
K.Zhigalov also met with the Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister of Luxembourg, who highly apprised dynamic development of cooperation between the countries. The Head of the Foreign Ministry intends to visit Kazakhstan to participate in the NATO Security Forum, that will be held in June, 2009 in Astana.
