Prime Minister calls to restore order in allocation of land around Astana for individual housing construction

Speaking at a meeting of the Government the Akim of Akmola region Kosman Aytmuhambetov said that in the region controlled satellite towns land pieces for individual housing construction are not allocated without leading the infrastructure.

"Suburban area of Astana has a special town planning. All the projects and land pieces set aside for individual housing construction we conform with the General Plan of Astana. As of today the issuance of land for individual housing construction has been stopped", he added.

Prime Minister instructed the Akims of Astana city and Akmola region as well as the head of the Ministry of Regional Development to come together and resolve the issue. Serik Akhmetov said that it is necessary to improve the look of the settlements around the capital.

Serik Akhmetov noted that the Government is ready to allocate funds for the construction of infrastructure and changing the towns' image.
