Pressure on Belarus unacceptable for CSTO foreign ministers

The statement reads: "Acting in the spirit of common allied approach that has been agreed within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and taking into account economic restrictions introduced against Belarus by member states of the European Union, the foreign ministers of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan confirm that using measures of economic pressure or enforcement in interstate relations is inadmissible".
The CSTO foreign ministers believe that such measures infringe upon legal interests of the economic security of states, risking damaging mutually beneficial cooperation, development of integration processes in the Eurasian continent. Moreover, such sanctions undermine trust between partners, resulting in negative influence on stability and security in the region.
The foreign ministers of the CSTO member states are convinced that only a dialogue of equals can help settle international differences. They speak in favor of rejecting any actions that run contrary to the spirit and principles of good neighborhood and mutual respect, the document reads.
