Press conference on Kazakhstan Constitution Day held in Dushanbe

"Today Constitution is a core of the whole legal system of the country; it determines the essence and content of other laws, serves as a firm foundation of the republic's stable consistent development", A. Akhmetov said. The Ambassador informed the attendees of the basic provisions of the Constitution which meet all international standards and accord with the tendencies of development of the modern world in the conditions of globalization.

In addition, Ambassador Akhmetov told about the amendments introduced into the Constitution, enhancement of  the role of the Parliament, self administration bodies, strengthening of political parties and guarantees of human tights protection.

Prominent public figures, representatives of local and foreign mass media took part in the event.
