Presidents of Russia, Kazakhstan accentuated urgency of speedy end of bloodshed and violations in Kyrgyzstan
N.Nazarbayev congratulated D.Medvedev on historic event - signing new U.S.-Russian arms reduction treaty. The Russian President highly appraised the role of Kazakhstan which together with Belarus and Ukraine contributed to realization of the former treaty and provision of strategic stability.
The Heads of State discussed the situation in Kyrgyzstan as well. Both sides expressed deep concernment on the fact that the acute political in-fighting in the country led to causalities and destabilization in all spheres of political and public life. D.Medvedev and N.Nazarbayev as the Heads of two biggest countries of the region chairing the OSCE (Kazakhstan), CIS and CSTO (Russian) stressed urgency of speedy end of the bloodshed and all forms of violations and spoke for normalization of the situation in Kyrgyzstan.
The Russian President confirmed the official information conveyed to the CSTO member states and other partners earlier on sending a group of Russian military men to Kyrgyzstan in order to provide security of families of Russian citizens staying at the territory of Kyrgyzstan, diplomatic missions and other Russian foreign establishments.
