Presidents of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan discuss bilateral cooperation

BODRUM. KAZINFORM - Today, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has met with his Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the sidelines of the 4th Summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking Countries in Bodrum, Turkey.

At the meeting, the sides discussed bilateral cooperation in the Caspian region and in various fields, including construction of a railroad connecting Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Iran with access to the Persian Gulf. Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan established diplomatic relations on October 5, 1992. Sales turnover between the two countries totaled more than $328 million in 2013.
