Presidents of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan discuss coop in oil & gas sector

Prospects in the sphere of transport and communications given the recent modernization of sea and railway infrastructures in Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan were noted during the meeting.

Nursultan Nazarbayev and Ilham Aliyev also paid attention to the bilateral cooperation in oil and gas sector.

President Nazarbayev lauded Azerbaijan's achievements in the political and socioeconomic spheres as well as successful interaction of the two states within various regional organizations.

Ilham Aliyev, in his turn, pointed out success achieved by Kazakhstan since attaining independence. "The reforms conducted by your country are a bright example for Azerbaijan. Dynamic changes in various fields of economy, important international initiatives, and improved welfare of the nation demonstrates how effective your policy is," the Azerbaijani President noted.
