Presidents of Kazakhstan and France made breakthrough in bilateral relations - Saudabayev

ANA. October 7. KAZINFORM  Secretary of State of Kazakhstan - Minister of Foreign Affairs Kanat Saudabayev met yesterday with his French counterpart Bernard Kouchner who is visiting our country within the state visit of President of France Nicolas Sarkozy, the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Office informs.

The parties focused on a plan of realization of the agreements reached within the French President's visit to Kazakhstan covering promising directions of bilateral cooperation. The situation in Central Asia including Afghanistan was discussed too.

According to K. Saudabayev, presidents of Kazakhstan and France made a breakthrough in the countries relations and stressed importance of the agreement on closer interaction in realization of the historic documents signed yesterday.

Having expressed gratitude to the French side for its support, K. Saudabayev briefed about the priorities of Kazakhstan's forthcoming OSCE chairmanship.

In turn, B. Kouchner informed K. Saudabayev of the forthcoming visit of a French delegation to Astana for holding consultations on bilateral interaction within Kazakhstan's presidency in the OSCE.
