Presidential elections to help Kazakhstan preserve stability - EU parliamentarian

BRUSSELS. KAZINFORM - Chair of the European Parliament Delegation on cooperation with Central Asian countries Iveta Grigule believes that presidential elections in Kazakhstan will take a lot of issues off the table.
"In order to avoid any speculation, to preserve political and economic stability in the country, I think that holding of presidential elections is the right thing to do. It will take a lot of issues off the table and enable Kazakhstan further develop economic ties and its economic program," Ms Grigule said. The European parliamentarian added that the EU wants Kazakhstan to preserve stability and its previous political course oriented to cooperation with Europe.
