Presidential elections results reflect Kazakhstanis' will indeed - Head of PACE Observation Mission Y. Lyovochkina
"The members of the delegation agree that, despite some technical shortages which inevitably occur during the elections in any country, the results of voting reflect the Kazakhstanis' will indeed", Head of PACE Observation Mission Yulia Lyovochkina said.
"PACE has observed the elections in Kazakhstan several times and sees progress", she noted.
The representatives of PACE are concerned over the calls to boycott the elections by some political forces. "Therefore Kazakhstan needs a stronger opposition and PACE is ready to assist in further development of political culture in Kazakhstan", U. Lyovochkina added.
In whole, she said she was quite satisfied with the organization of the elections. "The authorities responsible for the elections organization have done good work and have demonstrated high level of professionalism. The voting stations were well equipped and the atmosphere of the electoral process was calm. Voter turnout was high which proves the people's trust in elections", Y. Lyovochkina resumed.
