Presidential election results to be announced on April 9, 2011 - CEC
"Following the voting the votes will be counted immediately. This should be completed within 12 hours. On April 9 the CEC plans to announce the results and register the newly-elected president", V. Foos said.
"I would like to emphasize that in accordance with the legislation, the voting will take place at election stations which will be equipped with the cabins and transparent boxes. There will be places for the observers who will be able to see everything and to observe the course of the elections. Those who will not be able to come to elections due to family- or health-related problems, the local election commissions will send at least two their members to these people. 15 days prior to voting the local election commissions will make a list of the voters available, so everybody will be able to find and verify their names and surnames in it", the CEC Vice Chairman added.
Upon completion of the meeting V. Foos thanked the foreign diplomats and representatives of international organizations for their participation in the meeting and invited them for observing the upcoming presidential elections.
