President visited several facilities in Almaty

ALMATY. April 26. KAZINFORM /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ Today within a working trip to Almaty Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev has visited several facilities of the city. In particular, the President got familiarized himself with the course of construction of the first stage of the metro at Rayimbek station and surveyed new central office of the Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC.
KZT 26.7 bln were utilized in 2009 for metro construction. This year the Government has provided KZT 19.6 bln for the construction work. KZT 8.57 bln of them have already been utilized.
The new building of Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan JSC has become a new architectural heritage of the city. The new office of one of the largest financial institutions of the republic will allow simplifying the work of the top bank and optimize its business processes. During the visit to the facility N. Nazarbayev was presented the financial results of the Bank over 2009. As earlier reported the assets of the Bank grew by 22.5% last year. Net profit rose by 9.1%.
