President urged Ministry of Internal Affairs to work harder on fighting drug trafficking and drug crime

'I would like to attract attention to such a problem that the Ministry of Internal Affairs fights against as drug trafficking and drug crime. We want the Ministry to work on this problem harder. We expect definite results', the President said during the session of the board of the Kazakh Ministry of Justice.

Unfortunately, Kazakhstan is right on the way of the transit of drugs from Afghanistan to Europe, N. Nazarbayev noted. The scale of the problem is quite big. The work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be judged by its work in this field.

'At yearend the Security Council will have to analyze the situation in this sphere together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Security Committee', the President set a task.
