President urged Government and National Bank to prepare financial sector for crisis

ASTANA. January 27. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has urged the National Bank and the Government to ensure an optimal rate of tenge for competitiveness of our exporters' products.
He has given such an instruction at today's enlarged sitting of the Government.
According to him, external conditions can provoke devaluation of currencies of our trading partners
"Hence the National Bank together with the Government must ensure the optimal rate of tenge for competitiveness of our exporters' products. It is necessary to prepare the financial sector for the crisis," N.Nazarbayev said.
The Head of State noted that the Government is working upon it.
"Next week report me, what we will specifically do to the problem banks and the banking system," the President resumed.
