President Tokayev: We highly appreciate friendly relations with Tajikistan
Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has received Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin, who arrived in Astana for an official visit, Kazinform News Agency reports citing the Akorda press service.

During the meeting, the Kazakh President noted sustainable positive dynamics of the Kazakh-Tajik relations development in a wide range of areas and highlighted the importance of further deepening of strategic partnership.
In this context, the Kazakh President highlighted the Treaty on Allied Relations signed last year, which marked a new milestone in multifaceted and fruitful cooperation between Astana and Dushanbeю
“We highly appreciate friendly relations with Tajikistan, with which we have no unresolved issues. Kazakhstan has special feelings for the fraternal Tajik people. Our countries have always supported each other, and today this is reflected in our desire to boost the bilateral ties,” said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized an invaluable contribution of the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, to strengthening the Kazakh-Tajik relations.

In turn, Sirojiddin Muhriddin pointed out that over the years of sovereign development, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan have built mutually beneficial relations which are developing steadily in the spirit of friendship and alliance for the benefit of the two countries’ peoples.
“Tajikistan values close fraternal ties with Kazakhstan. Your country is our most important partner, as there is full mutual understanding in all areas of bilateral cooperation. The past year became landmark one for our relations, which have been raised to the level of alliance,” the Foreign Minister of Tajikistan said.
The Tajik diplomat conveyed warm greetings from President Emomali Rahmon to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and confirmed Tajikistan’s commitment to further deepen all-round cooperation with Kazakhstan.
The sides also reviewed the progress of implementation of the agreements reached earlier at the highest level, focusing on the prospects for deepening the interaction in the field of economy, trade, transit, digitalization, education and culture.
The meeting also focused on the issues of regional security, water-energy cooperation, as well as joint measures of ensuring sustainable development of Central Asia.
Earlier, it was reported that Kazakhstan and Tajikistan strengthen economic cooperation, by expanding investment projects and creating joint enterprises.
