President Tokayev meets with prominent economist and public figure Orazaly Sabden
Kazakh Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received economist and public figure Orazaly Sabden, Kazinform News Agency cites Akorda.
The meeting discussed the prospects of economic development of the country.
Special attention was attached to the diversification of the country’s economy, increasing the production capacity, developing SMEs, and agriculture. The exceptional role of digitizing the said sectors to achieve the goals set was noted. The mechanisms to increase the standards of life of the population with the help of social innovations were considered.
Noting that last year the Concept of development of higher education and science until 2029 was adopted, the Kazakh President noted that the state attaches great attention to the development of science and education.
The Head of State stressed that he keeps the activity of the Academy of Sciences under special control as well as noted that the state will continue supporting those youth educated and following the global trends.
Sabden expressed a number of proposals to develop science.
