President to partake in opening Khan Shatyr trade-entertainment centre

As the organizers informs, the guests will enjoy a theatrical performance at the square in front of the center. World famous opera singer Andrea Bocelli and Kazakhstan's "Golden Man" are expected to perform at the concert. The event will end with an illumination show and a firework.

Khan Shatyr is a brainchild of outstanding British architect Norman Foster. The grandiose building finishes the main axis of the administrative part of Astana which takes its beginning from the Akorda Palace. The new trade-entertainment center will become one of the most important city sights for the residents. According to the architect, being the highest point of Astana and the largest entertainment center in Central Asia Khan Shatyr will be seen everywhere.

The architectural-construction concept is called to fight with severe climate of the region. Light, humidity and temperature inside the facility will be controlled all year round.

There is a roofed parking for 700 cars, a supermarket, boutiques, mini-golf grounds, botanic gardens, sheltered beaches, concert halls, a café, a five-star hotel in the center.
