President to be reported on results of lands inventory campaign across Kazakhstan
At the session Prime Minister Akhmetov stressed that the first stage of the inventory campaign proved there was 15 000 hectares of unused land in Akmola region. "Moreover, the area of unused lands in North Kazakhstan region amounts to 100 000 hectares," he added. In his words, only 30.6 million out of 90 million hectares of land underwent inventory in 2012.
The Premier harshly criticized governor of Almaty region Ansar Musakhanov and his colleagues for not knowing how many farming enterprises are registered in the region. "Let's see what the second and third stages of the inventory campaign will show. So far, all I can see is the lack of control and accountability."
Serik Akhmetov instructed the governors to prepare a report to the Head of State following results of the first stage of inventory campaign. They are to report to President Nazarbayev on the area of unused lands in their regions.
