President surveyed reconstruction of Astana-Petropavlovsk highway

ANA. August 19. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Today Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev has surveyed the course of reconstruction of Astana-Petropavlovsk highway, Kazinform cites the press service of BI-Group Holding.

Minister of Transport and Communications Abelgazy Kussainov and Head of BI-Group Holding Aidyn Rakhimbayev reported to the President on the stages and terms of commissioning the road which reconstruction is carried out within the Road Map.

Kazakhdorstroy Company (general constructor) entering the BI Group Holding plans to complete reconstruction of the section from the 240^th to 280^th km of Astana-Petropavlovsk highway by 2010. A four-lane road of 1B category will function in this section.

Kazakhdorstroi also plans to complete reconstruction of Astana-Borovoye highway with the length of 47 km. A six-lane road of 1A category covered with concrete pavement will be opened here. Besides the company builds 12 road junctures and overpasses in its sections. The total cost of the project is KZT 46 bln.

More than 2 000 people and 400 units of transport vehicles are involved in building work on Astana-Petropavlovsk highway
