President suggested that EBRD expand its presence in Kazakhstan over time

ASTANA. May 20. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ President Nursultan Nazarbayev has suggested the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) expand its presence in different regions of Kazakhstan over time. He has said this at the EBRD Annual Meeting in Astana.
According to the Head of State, the Bank's participation in municipal development will help in improving local infrastructures and promoting balanced economic development in those regions.
"It is very important for us that the EBRD co-finance projects together with the Kazakhstan banks, pension funds and other domestic investors," N.Nazarbayev stressed.
