President received Parliament deputies

ASTANA-AKORDA. February 24. KAZINFORM Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev has received a group of Parliament deputies, Kazinform refers to the Presidential press service.

Deputies Mukhambet Kopeyev, Yermek Zhumabayev, Rashit Akhmetov and Serik Ayaganov informed the President of the current law-making activity of the Senate.
Vice Chairman of the Senate M. Kopeyev told N. Nazarbayev about the results of the deputies? visits to the regions and their work on explanation of the Government?s anti-crisis measures to the people.
Issues of legislative regulation of local self-administration and its importance for strengthening statehood and development of democracy in Kazakhstan were touched upon by Y. Zhumabayev.
Member of the Committee on Finances and Budget R. Akhmetov spoke on state support and development of business.
S. Ayaganov focused on legislative provision of realization of state measures on supporting socially vulnerable groups of the population and solution of employment problems.
The senators also touched upon the issues regarding efficient usage of natural resources, legislative provision of transition to energy-saving technologies and search for alternative sources of energy.
