"Amid the fall in metals prices and current crisis, our country is developing quite stable this year. According to forecasts, the GDP growth is projected at 6% in 2013, one of the highest indicators in the world," the Kazakh President said.

Nursultan Nazarbayev also stressed that Kazakhstan is successfully overcoming all those negative factors due to the industrialization of the country and the development of small and medium business.

"In the conditions of the global crisis, instability in Europe and the Middle East, all Kazakhstanis should appreciate the stability of their motherland," the Kazakh leader added.

NOTE: Ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as oil and gas are considered to be the staple exports of Kazakhstan.
