President pins his hopes on Nazarbayev University, Alatau Park of Innovative Technologies

ALMATY. June 5. KAZINFORM President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has visited today companies located in the territory of the Park of Innovative Technologies (PIT). The "Alatau" PIT is situated in a special economic zone in the village of Alatau near Almaty.
During the visit, President Nazarbayev stressed 'innovations can be nurtured only at the expense of extra funds.' In his words, currently Kazakhstan is creating a $200-million fund for this purpose.
"We are also elaborating a new law on the Park of Innovative Technologies providing an autonomous status to the park," added N. Nazarbayev.
In addition, the Head of State noted he puts high hopes on the Nazarbayev University and the "Alatau" Park of Innovative Technologies in terms of the development of innovations in Kazakhstan.
