President of Mongolia touches down in Astana for SCO summit
President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsuck touched down in the Astana international airport where he was greeted by Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Galymzhan Koishybayev, Kazinform News Agency reports referring to the Government of Kazakhstan.

The President of Mongolia is expected to participate in the upcoming SCO summit scheduled to take place on July 3-4 in Astana.
Mongolia was the first country to gain the status of observer under the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in 2004, signaling the geographic expansion of the organization and growth of its international authority.

Apart from traditionally friendly political relations, Kazakhstan and Mongolia enjoy robust trade and economic cooperation serving as a solid foundation of the bilateral relations. Following results of 2023, the bilateral trade stood at $133 million, demonstrating a 27.7% growth in comparison with 2022.
Recall that UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and Russia President Vladimir Putin have already arrived in Kazakhstan.
Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping who is in Kazakhstan for a state visit was cordially greeted in the Akorda resident by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan.
