President Tokayev invites Abdullah II of Jordan to pay visit to Kazakhstan
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks with Jordanian King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, Kazinform News Agency cites Akorda.

The meeting commenced with President Tokayev extending his congratulations to Abdullah II of Jordan on the occasion of the 25th year of the latter’s reign, wishing him continued success in creative initiatives aimed at ensuring sustainable growth and prosperity of the people of Jordan and increasing the authority of the country on the global scene.
The Kazakh President expressed gratitude to the Jordan leader for his contribution to enhancing friendship and cooperation ties between the two nations.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said, ‘Jordan enjoys international recognition for its unwavering commitment to peace and stability’.
The aim of my visit is to give additional impetus to our relations, friendship and trade-economic relations. I believe that we share the common positions and evaluate equally the ongoing global processes. But we’re also interested in strengthening political ties. There are certain ideas. I’m convinced that we could reach concrete agreements and good results in the nearest future. We’re ready to work hard on our cooperation. We consider Jordan as a friendly state and we have a lot in common, said the Kazakh leader.
According to him, a Joint Statement and agreements to be adopted today set an example of a common strive towards greater Kazakh-Jordanian interaction in the entire range of bilateral and multilateral agenda.
In turn, Jordanian King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein highlighted that 'President Tokayev’s visit to Jordan offers great opportunities for further expansion of bilateral political, trade-economic and investment cooperation'.

I’m glad to welcome you and your distinguished delegation in Jordan. It’s encouraging that good opportunities are opening up today to step up our economic ties, especially the private sector, which is of paramount importance, said the King of Jordan.
During the talks, the interlocutors discussed the prospects for promoting contacts in the key sectors such as trade, investment, industry, agriculture, transport and logistics, tourism, energy, digitalization and pharmacy.
Special attention was placed to expanding cultural and humanitarian relations of both countries, as nearly 300 Jordanians are attending medical universities in Kazakhstan.
Both leaders exchanged views on the ongoing issues of international and regional security as well.
In conclusion, President Tokayev invited Abdullah II of Jordan to pay a visit to Kazakhstan.
Earlier, Abdullah II of Jordan welcomed President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who had arrived on February 18 in Jordan for an official visit, at Al Husseiniya Palace.
