President Nazarbayev received head of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy A. Mamin

During the meeting Nursultan Nazarbayev said that the full realization of industrial and innovative program depended on the transport infrastructure, including the development of the railway sector.

"Today we have given considerable attention to the development of transport infrastructure and a lot of funds are allocated for this purpose. However, all implemented infrastructure projects should be of great benefit to the people and the country", noted the Head of the State.

A. Mamin pointed out that Kazakhstan Temir Zholy is the operator of the construction of new railways in the country.

"In this regard, a whole range of projects, including new railway Zhezkazgan – Beyneu, Arkalyk – Shubarkol, Zhetygen - Khorgos, Uzen - the state border with Turkmenistan are being realized. The total length of new railway lines is about 1,700 km", said Mamin.

Also, the president of the railway company reported on the meeting with Chinese partners related to the establishment of terminal infrastructure in the Chinese port of Lianyungang.

Following the meeting, the Head of Kazakhstan has given a number of specific assignments.
