President Nazarbayev met with majilismen
During the meeting activities of the parliamentary fractions, prospects of further work on SME development, problems of employment, and improvement of nation's wellbeing were discussed.
"The Lower Chamber of the Parliament is a good school of democracy. Currently three political parties and Kazakhstan People's Assembly are represented at the chamber. Almost 60 per cent of Majilis's composition has been renewed and 28 draft laws have been approved within a short period of time. The world is experiencing hard times. Crisis developments are gaining momentum. We closely monitor the situation. Today I have invited you to listen to your suggestions and debate our further world," President Nazarbayev said.
"Majilis has the supervising functions and it should vigorously request the implementation of the state programs, especially proper use of the republican budget. Make no compromises. People voted for you to monitor the work of the ministries," Nursultan Nazarbayev noted.
"It is up to you to control the effective implementation of the state programs adopted. We also should nurture the new generation of businessmen. The problems of employment are of paramount importance as well. We create all the conditions for training and recruitment of our citizens," the Kazakh President added.
Upon results of the last parliamentary elections on January 15, 2012, the National Democratic Party Nur Otan secured 83 places, Ak Zhol Party - 8 places and the Communist National Party of Kazakhstan - 7 places in the Parliament.
