President Nazarbayev honored for his contribution to preservation of peace and friendship

ASTANA. July 16. KAZINFORM Chairman of the International Advisory Committee of Organizations of Reserve Officers Alexander Kanshin has handed a special honorary order for President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev for his contribution to preservation of peace and friendship to Defense Minister of Kazakhstan Adilbek Dzhaksybekov. The third session of the Committee has kicked off at the Palace of Peace and Accord in the Kazakh capital - Astana today.
"At the meeting in Vienna, we made a decision to launch the highest award of the Committee for knighthood. Heads of states paying the utmost attention to veterans' organizations, contributing to the veterans' movements, assisting armed forces and veterans will be decorated with this order," Mr Kanshin said.
"And it delights me to see that today President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has been honored with the highest award of the Committee for his contribution to preservation of peace and friendship by unanimous decision of the members," he added.
The event gathered in Astana delegates from more than 30 countries from Western, Central and Eastern Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
