President Nazarbayev attended sitting on Almaty development

ALMATY. May 12. KAZINFORM /Aigul Turysbekova/ Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev attended the sitting on socio-economic development of Almaty city on Thursday.
The issues of environmental protection, tourism development and seismology are on agenda.
The President emphasized that Almaty is the largest city in Kazakhstan and Central Asian region. Despite the economic crisis, KZT 40 billion was pumped into the urban infrastructure development ahead of the Asian Winter Games 2011. "All these investments were useful not only for the Asian Games, but what is most importantly, they will serve the citizens," Nazarbayev added.
