President N. Nazarbayev to open second day of OSCE Foreign Ministers informal meeting

ALMATY OBLAST. July 17. KAZINFORM /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ The informal meeting of the OSCE Ministers of Foreign Affairs continues its work at Ak-Bulak ski resort in Almaty oblast today. President Nursultan Nazarbayev is to open the second day of the meeting.

OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Secretary of State-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev, Secretary General of the OSCE Marc Perrin de Brichambaut, President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Petros Efthimiou are to take part in the meeting.

As earlier reported, yesterday, July 16, K. Saudabayev had several bilateral meetings with the OSCE Foreign Ministers. The majority of the ministers backed Kazakhstan's position on regulation of the conflict in Kyrgyzstan. Besides, the guests stated necessity of holding the OSCE Summit in Astana. In the evening K. Saudabayev had a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of France Bernard Kouchner following which the parties signed a Protocol on establishment of a Kazakh-French Presidential Commission.
