President met with Minister of Education and Science

ASTANA. January 14. KAZINFORM Kazakh Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev received Minister of Education and Science Bakhytzhan Zhumagulov on Friday.
B.Zhumagulov reported on the main results of the Ministry's activity in 2010.
In particular, the Minister informed that the number of pre-school educational institutions increased by 41% in 2010. 93 schools, 28 institutions of technical and vocational education were built. Nazarbayev University and Turkic Academy were opened as well. Education and science expenditures made KZT 797 bln. Kazakhstan ranked fourth according to the UNESCO Education for All Development Index. The country also joined the Bologna process in March, 2010.
