President meets with agricultural producers in Ust-Kamenogorsk
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev made a visit to the Experimental Farm of Oilseeds LLP in Ust-Kamenogorsk as part of his working visit to East Kazakhstan region, Kazinform News Agency cites Akorda.

The Kazakh Head of State was presented with sunflower half-breeds, soybean and spring wheat varieties bred following the enterprise’s year-long practical and research work. The seeds the enterprise produces are in high demand among domestic agrarians and exported to seven regions of Russia.

According to the enterprise’s head Farid Abitayev, the country’s areas under oilseed crops have increased by 12-15% a year over the past years amid the high demand in the market.
The complex is now among leaders in the field of dairy farming due to its robust feeding base and competent selection work.
As of today, the enterprise’s dairy farms have around 3,000 heads of livestock, mostly Holstein-Friesian breeds. The daily milk production in the farms stands at around 40 tons, which are then delivered to four domestic milk processing plants.
The Head of State commended the enterprise’s work and urged to promote its experience to other regions of the country.
The Kazakh President visited the agro-management study room equipped in cooperation with the Serikbayev East Kazakhstan technical University. Cooperation is being established with Swiss Syngenta, one of the leaders in the production of plant protection products, and American agricultural manufacturer John Deere.
