President and Spanish PM discussed coop of two countries

There were held talks after an official ceremony of the meeting at Akorda. N.Nazarbayev and José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation as well as the matters of the regional and international agenda.
"I am very glad to see you and your delegation. We were waiting for your visit, and you came, despite all difficulties. We mark the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence this year. All these years we had very good relations. And today it is necessary to bring up economic cooperation. I hope His Majesty the King of Spain will come to Astana after you. And I hope he feels good," the Head of State said.
"Mr. President, thank you for your kind words and warm reception. Our visit is aimed at expansion and strengthening of relations between leader country of Central Asia - Kazakhstan - and Spain. Over the past 20 years we had good political relations, and we should expand our economic, trade ties, investments, open joint ventures in the energy sector, engineering, infrastructure sphere, telecommunications. His Majesty, in his turn, asked me to convey to you his warmest heartfelt greetings. He is a good friend of your country. My visit is accompanied by heads of the leading Spanish companies. This will open a new window to ne opportunities. I would like to congratulate you with those steps which were taken in your country, the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence, and your capital," José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero said.
