President and Government have always cared and care about children - Majilis Deputy R. Mukashev

ASTANA. May 28. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ The President and the Government of the country have always cared and care about children, due to whom Kazakhstan will become a great and prosperous country by 2030. Rakhmet Mukashev, Chairman of the Majilis Committee on Legislation and Judicial Reform said it at a conference entitled Legislative provision of protection of children's rights in Kazakhstan- problems and prospects last week.

"Over the years of independence Kazakhstan has ratified major international conventions in the sphere of protection of the children's rights including the Conventions On the Rights of the Child, On the Worst Forms of Child Labor , the Optional Protocol to the Convention On the Right of the Child and others. Kazakhstan has adopted the Law On the Right of the Child in the Republic of Kazakhstan, which allowed ensuring inviolability of the rights and interests of the child and family in whole" R. Mukashev said.

Speaking on further improvement of the work related to protection of the children's rights, the deputy stressed necessity of establishment of special juvenile departments in the prosecutor's offices and legal consultation offices. It will allow providing individual approach to every child and reducing the number of juveniles in prisons.
