Portugal interested in Astana EXPO 2017

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Environment and Water Resources Minister of Kazakhstan Nurlan Kapparov held a number of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the VII Astana Economic Forum, the ministry's press service said.
At the meeting with Portuguese Deputy Prime Minister Paulo Portas debated were prospects for cooperation in the field of environment and water resources protection. According to the Minister, Kazakhstan is interested in exchange of practice and transfer of technologies, attracting of investments, waste management and renewable sources of energy in the light of transition to the green economy. The sides also focused on cooperation within preparations for Astana EXPO 2017. Paulo Portas noted that Portuguese practice in complex construction and management over infrastructure facilities may be of great interest for Kazakhstan and told about Portuguese business interest in the exhibition.
