Political processes in Kazakhstan to gain new impulse

ATY. September 22. KAZINFORM /Yekaterina Ionova/ Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OSCE was defined by the Head of the State as a priority challenge for the country. This is quite important for us since political processes in Kazakhstan will gain new impulse, Vice Minister of Culture and Information Gaziz Telebayev has said at a meeting with the representatives of the non-governmental organizations in Almaty today.
"Kazakhstan is the only Asian state on the post-soviet space to chair such organization. The world imposes great hopes and responsibility on us. Therefore interaction and partnership of state bodies and NGOs must be improved year by year", Chairperson of the women's public association Leyla Akhmetova considers.
Issues on education, elections, human rights, migration and mass media were discussed at the meeting as well. According to G. Telebayev, active engagement of the NGOs in Kazakhstan oncoming chairmanship in the OSCE must become one of priority directions.
