Political parties of Latin America and Asia held joint session

ASTANA. August 7. KAZINFORM First joint session of the Permanent Conference of Political Parties in Latin America and the Caribbean (COPPPAL) and the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) was held in Buenos Aires on July 30-31, 2009. There are 52 parties from 28 countries in the COPPPAL and 240 parties from 50 countries in the ICAPP, Kazinform refers to the press service of "Nur Otan" National Democratic Party.

The main theme of the session was "The global challenges and the role of political parties". The participants of the session discussed the role of political parties in social, economic and public spheres of life in Latin America and Asia, in construction of interregional multilateral relations and considered political parties as a factor of the national and regional development.

Member of the political council of "Nur Otan" Party, Deputy Head of the central office of the Party Mukhtar Yerman took part in the session. He informed the participants of the process of preparation to the ICAPP General Assembly that will be held on September 24-26 in Astana and held a number of meetings with leaders of political parties of Latin America and Asia.
