PM urges several ministries to introduce scientific developments of National Center for Biotechnology

The Head of the Government got acquainted with the work of laboratory of biotechnology and selection, immunochemistry and immunobiotechnology, national scientific laboratory of multi-access biotechnology and surveyed the republican collection of microorganisms.
K.Massimov held a working sitting and gave some instruction to heads of the Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Healthcare, Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Environment Protection, Ministry of Industry and New Technologies on expertise and introduction of the scientific developments.
According to the Premier, the domestic innovations in the healthcare sphere could find practical application. "if we have new method of vaccination, screening, certification and opportunities of early diagnosis, we should take them into account in the healthcare program", K.Massimov said.
"Vaccinations against swine flu and AH1N1 flu (created by the Center) undergo clinical trials in the Institute of Influenza in St. Petersburg at the moment. The vaccinations meet all international standards, demands of the World Health Organization and are competitive and export-oriented", Director General of the Center Yerlan Ramankulov said.
Besides, the Center worked out high-efficiency product for soil cleaning from petrol pollutions "Ekobak", five high-yielding varieties of wheat and two new varieties of rice.
