PM urged to focus on treatment of main diseases

ASTANA. January 30. KAZINFORM /Bauyrzhan Mukanov/ Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov has charged Kazakh Minister of Healthcare Zhaksylyk Doskaliyev to concentrate on treatment of diseases ranking among the top causes of death; Kazinform reports.
?Cardiovascular diseases rank the first place, traumatism ? the second one, oncological diseases ? the third place, white plague ? the fourth and other diseases - the fifth place?, K.Massimov said.
?I think that in 2009, taking into account the economic situation, our priority should be problems of the population, but not purchase of expensive equipment. In crisis social problems escalate, thus we should focus on these five issues?, the Premier said.
The Kazakh Ministry of Healthcare elaborated the Strategic Plan for 2009-2011, for the solution of problems in the sphere of healthcare. KZT 299.5 bln will be allocated from the republican budget for it's implementation in 2009.
