PM Massimov meets with reps of large int'l companies

ASTANA. June 4. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan Prime Minister Karim Massimov has held working meetings with representatives of large international companies within the framework of the IV Kazakhstan Investment Summit; the Premier's press service reports.

K.Massimov and Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of ArcelorMittal Lakshmi Mittal discussed the issues of the activity of the mining and smelting enterprise in Kazakhstan.

Further improvement of Kazakhstan's investment attraction was discussed at the meeting of the Premier with Chief Operating Officer Ernst & Young Global John Ferraro.

The issues of the Kazakh content, the domestic specialists training and retraining in the company's activity were considered at the meeting of the Prime Minister with Vice Chairman, Executive Vice President of Chevron Canada Limited and George L. Kirkland.

The Premier and CEO of United Company RUSAL Oleg Deripaska considered topical issues of projects development in the sphere of electric power industry and metallurgy.

Priorities of further development of investment and trade-economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and China were discussed by K.Massimov and Chairman and CEO of China Investment Corporation Lou Jiwei.
