Pipes replacement at Kashagan oil field to begin this spring

ATYRAU. KAZINFORM - Replacement of pipes that leaked and caused the cease of production at the Kashagan oilfield will start in spring 2015.
It was revealed by deputy managing director of NCOC Zhakyp Marabayev at the conference themed Oil & gas construction and engineering in Atyrau on Wednesday, March 4. "Piping will start right after the Caspian Sea ice melts and ships can navigate there. Construction of the new pipelines at the field should be completed in late 2016," Mr. Marabayev added.
