Photo Expo devoted to Kazakh-Russian coop kicked off in Moscow

 MOSCOW. September 14. KAZINFORM A photo exhibition dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between Russia and Kazakhstan kicked off in Moscow.

The goal of the exhibition is to demonstrate the stability of friendship and strategic partnership between the two countries.

At the opening Kazakh Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Galym Orazbakov noted that the friendship and mutual understanding between the two countries has a long history. Today, both countries continue to demonstrate effective cooperation for the benefit of their peoples. The large-scale joint projects are implemented within such regional and international organizations as the CIS, CSTO and SCO.

"I am confident that the future relations between our countries will develop at the same dynamic pace.  This exhibition shows all facets of our cooperation and mutual understanding," G.Orazbakov said.

In turn, deputy head of the CIS Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Vyacheslav Svetlichnyi praised the pace of development of the bilateral relations. "Russia and Kazakhstan are now the driving force of integration processes in the CIS. Pledge of Russian-Kazakh leadership is based on advanced bilateral ties, mutual interests and a strong political will of the heads of state, " V. Svetlichny said.

The exhibition presents some of the highlights of the recent history of the two countries - meetings of presidents of Kazakhstan and Russia, signing of bilateral documents, setting up joint ventures and more.

The exhibition presents 50 photographs from the archives of the "Kazinform" news agency, Russian news agency RIA Novosti, Ministry of Culture and Information. The organizers  are the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Russia with the support of the Moscow Mayor. The exhibition will run from 14 to 28 September 2012.
