Pharmaceutical plants to be constructed in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. October 24. KAZINFORM Kazakh- Czech business forum with the participation of Presidents of Kazakhstan and Czech Republic has been held in Prague.

A number of contracts in various fields of industry including pharmaceutical one was signed during the forum.

President of Pharmaceutical company ROMAT Turarbek Rakish and  Executive  Director of the FAVEA companies David Klinger sighed  a contract on construction of new pharmaceutical productions in Kazakhstan.

"Romat" is a large pharmaceutical holding uniting 3 modern plants for the manufacture of bio-products and polymeric medical products.

"Romat"  will build two new modern pharmaceutical productions in line with European requirements of the standard GMP. One of them is the production of infusion solutions and injectable drugs in Semey, the other - the production of solid dosage forms in Pavlodar.

The total investment is about 37 million euros with financing of the projects directly by ROMAT company, the rest of the funds will be attracted by investment lending with Czech banks and the Czech state insurance company EGAP.
