Petropavlovsk held press-conference on first A/H1N1 flu case in region

The press-conference was headed by Director of the sanitary-epidemiological surveillance Committee Department for North-Kazakhstan Oblast Kairgali Isseneyev. He noted that this flu case is introduced that is the patient was infected in another country. The situation in the region is stable and is under constant control. He also emphasized that there is no any reasons for trouble. The disease itself and its symptoms are well known to medical workers as well as the methods for its treatment.

As earlier reported, three teenagers arrived in Petropavlovsk from their language training in the UK on August 3. One of them addressed to the city hospital where he was surveyed. Today his analysis has showed presence of Influenza A/H1N1 virus.

The state of the patient is satisfactory at present. All the contacted people have been surveyed and taken under control.
