Perspectives of Kazakh-Turkish military coop discussed in Turkey

ISTANBUL. May 13. KAZINFORM A Kazakh delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan Sergey Gromov attended the 11th International Defense Industry Fair "IDEF 2013" in Istanbul.

Representatives of 82 states and 115 companies of world producers of military equipment and weapons, defense ministers of 20 states took part in the event.

Sergey Gromov held talks and meetings with Undersecretary of Defence Industries Mr.Murad Bayar, Deputy Minister of National Defence Mr. Hasan Kemal Yardımcı, heads of leading companies "Otokar" and "Aselsan" where issues of military cooperation of the two countries were discussed.

The International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF) is a defence industry fair held in Turkey and organized by the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation since 1993. The Foundation organizes the IDEF once in every two years and before each fair it chooses the organizer firm and exhibition venue by calling a tender. The exhibitions generally take place in Ankara or Istanbul.
